I’d like to thank Steve Jenkins for organizing our 5/6 gala day on the 20/7/08 & all the coaches / managers / committee members who helped on the day with the BBQ / canteen / fields, timing of games & also to the Cadets who voluntary put their hands up to ref these games, well done & thank you again. It was a big day with 16 teams about 130 kids & 400 spectators, to all players & parents from all clubs thank you for helping us make this gala day a very enjoyable day for our kids.
On the day I seen some very good soccer skills being shown from not only kids but parents as well, high lights of the day is to see so many kids & parents enjoying themselves, not only as a team but also as a family, its always great to see parents playing against there kids when they had a bye, & to the Doyalson player who kicked the ball & knocked most of the food off a table & onto the parents laps I hope you didn't get into to much trouble.
The season is slowly coming to an end so please keep in mind Junior presentation on 19/10/08 & Senior 25/10/08.
I have received a lot of feed back about our fun night, so if any one else out there would like to comment on how we can improve the next one please email Toni Quinn at doyalsonwolves@aol.com, & again thank you all that helped out on the night especially Robyn Ellery who help me set up the activities during the day, & the BBQ / canteen helpers that cooked 500 sausages, thanks also to Gary from Eureka Jumping Castles & also Tip Top for supplying 60 loafs of bread.

Under 6/1 - The team has been playing well during the second round, in fact very well. Such improvement is obvious in all the players. Three weeks ago we only had three players take the field, others yet to arrive, and within 2mins we were up 2 nil! Last week we had our best win this season so far with a 7-1 victory, so I can only say I’m impressed with the team. As I mentioned in an earlier report our team is comfortably made up of players with various talents that complement each other even at this age, so as a coach I could not have asked for anything better. I’m hoping of course that we can go thru the rest of the season (5 games) with at least 4 wins. John Thomson – Coach.

Umina 1 - Doyalson - 1 It was a cold morning! The match began at 8.am - slowly we got on top of Umina scoring first. It seemed as the match went on that it was only a matter of time before we scored again. Somehow we let them back in the game to finish 1 -1. They could have even grabbed the winner if it wasn't for a great save from Tayar Rose at the end. Player of the match - Shannon Kitchner.
Terrigal 2 - Doyalson 0 Not much to say about this one! Another game we should have won. Late goals in the second half from Terrigal killed it for us. A few players went back to their bad ways. Not a happy coach, No player of the Match!
Budgewoi 4 - Doyalson - 0 A big match for us! Competing against, a very good, Top of the League Budgewoi. After two previous average matches the team came out motivated, looking very good, play was all over the park and matched Budgewoi. One soft goal and a couple of mistakes in a 15 minute period had us chasing the match. Second half and not one player dropped their head and we looked the better team for the rest of the game. Although we lost everyone gave 100%, well done! I cannot mention everyone, but thanks again to Brittany for helping out again in goals. (Teams best Goalie for sure), also a great first half on the field. Well done to Tyla Drake for another consistent and solid performance. Player of the match Shantel.
Gosford 3 - Doyalson - 0 It was an 8.00 am Start. With 8 Players and 30 Supporters! We Did Our Best. 110% from every player! Well Done!

Motm went to Alex for a cracker game in defense, the quiet giant keep them out….. 5/7- v Wyoming win 6-0 Well the passing game was a pleasure to watch. All the team just put it together with a great result. The problem with winning to many games is that the pressure to perform gets higher every week. Well done team. Red frogs for all!!!!!! Goals to Brad-2 Jacob-2 Jayden and Dylan. Motm went to Jayden for a wonderful 2nd half of defense and attack that resulted in a cracker goal near the end of play. 11/7- v Toukley win 6-1 A great result from the first encounter in round 1.what can I say guys keep up the great football and team spirit. Well done coach! It had to happen sometime!!!! Our first goal against us this year. What a wonderful effort from our keeper Ashley (spider women) and all the backs that have kept them out for so long. 18/7- v Mountains lost 1-0 Our first loss of the year! We had our chances with 2 hitting the post!!!! We just couldn’t get it in the back of the net. Everyone felt this one. Its good to have a reality check to realise that every week we need to go out there and take the challenge to every team we play. Keep the positive playing momentum we have and with a few more wins we could stay at the top of the ladder. A great effort by all so far team and keep up the great football it’s a pleasure to see you all doing so well. I wish you all the very best for the next few games as you all deserve to be champions. On another great note our super goal keeper Ashley has made a wonderful achievement in making a N.S.W. soccer rep team. We all wish Ashley all very best and congratulations (you rock). Dean and I have developed a wonderful group of kids that we believe come to the game every week because of the love of the sport and the great sense of sportsmanship that we have developed in them all over the years. Go you wolves!!!! Keep up that huddle guys that’s what it’s all about.

U/12 E 17/5 we played Kilarney vale for a 4-2 loss. A good hard game. They were faster runners. Nathanial was everywhere and got both goals and tried for more. Paul and Nathan tried hard too. There was a lot of passing and tripping over each other. Joel got man of the match for covering everyone. 24/5/08 We played Gosford and won 4-2 and started the game with only 8 players as Gerry got lost. Nathan and Nathanial had a great run to score in first couple of minutes and followed a few minutes later again with Nathanial scoring. Paul had a great run to score as well. Nathanial got a penalty shot and scored. Great passing from all, with great defending. 31/5 We played Avoca for a 2 all draw. A very hard game and constant the whole time. Paul, Nathanial and Nathan did some great passing. Paul had several attempts but was unlucky. Nathanial kept getting the ball and tried to run himself but had trouble and managed to pass it off a few times and scored twice. Jesse was absolutely fantastic in goals to get man of the match. Defenders worked really hard, midfield amazing. We had Karley and Chloe to help thanks girls. 14/6 We played Kanwal for a 4-0 win. It was a great game. Kanwal had improved heaps. Nathanial scored all 4 goals. One where he dived and used his head to head it in and one bounced of his groin to go in. The forwards all passed very well to help set up goals but were unlucky for them not to go in. Mid field were excellent with Dale getting man of the match. Jesse and Joel shared goals and were both good not letting any in. The defenders did a great job defending as well. Well done. 28/6 It was apparantly a great game against Ourimbah. The twins and I were on holidays, so missed the game. Gerry said they all worked very hard and were buggered by the end to have a 2-0 win. 5/7 We played Terrigal for a 6-0 win. We only had 10 players and borrowed Karley for the first half. They only had 10 players as well. It was a good game Nathanial scored 4 and Paul 2. Again Nathanial got the first 2 in the first 5 minutes. Kurt and Dale did some great work. Jesse, great in goals as usual. Joel kept chasing hard. Kurt had 2 attempts but was unlucky. Nathan just kept running hard and passed to Nathanial to finish it. Jarrod was a little off colour but kept on defending. Grace did some great kicks and attacks. Paul did a great corner kick to score off the goalie. Taylor-Anne was excellent a really great game. 12/7 We played Umina for a 5-1 win. Nathanial got 2 goals again early and 1 on a dot shot and again after Nathan did a good corner to pass to Kurt and then Paul to Nathanial to score. Everyone ran hard and passed plenty. Nathanial got a great pass to Paul to run several times. We had Karley again who got a pass to Paul to score. Nathanial had great determination to score more but passed when he couldn't for the others to try. Great game all. 13/7 We played Kincumber for a 3-1 win. A tough game after yesterday’s game. We borrowed Karley again. Paul got all 3 goals. While Nathanial and Kurt trying hard. There were some great runs and Karley had a shot but was unlucky. The second half was slower as both teams were buggered. Nathan somehow just kept going. Taylor-Anne kept up her defence and got man of the match for her skills. Great Game. 19/7 We played Woy-Woy for a 3 all draw. Again Nathanial scored 2 in the first 5 minutes. the kids all had some great moves and played very well against their rough tactics. We had them worried and the ref didn't do us any good. Grace got man of the match for her continuous chasing and attacking and defending. Nathan, Nathanial, Paul, Kurt and Tyneal were run ragged using their skills to have heaps of attempts, but just missed each time. Unlucky - all. They did great not to stoop to their level of foul play, Karley and Chloe helped out and congratulation all. Some great skills from all the team and thanks heaps to Karley and Chloe for helping us out when needed.

After some encouraging performances the team finally had a very good 3-2 win over a committed Tuggerah side that was determined not to be Doylo’s first victim. The win was a culmination of a series of good games recently where the team has been playing very good football but not getting the result the effort warranted. Most losses have been against teams that continually play the long ball with the hope that eventually someone will get on the end of it and put it away. In a number of these games the team has outplayed the opposition but not out-scored them. I’m happy for the team to continue to play out from the back through the midfield and create attacking opportunities out wide. I feel this is a better grounding for our young players and will stand them in good stead in future years. One advantage of having the bare number of players is that the team is pretty settled, both in positions and style of play. Throughout the season the players have shown a willingness to listen to directions and put them into practice in a game. Our passing and ball control has improved immeasurably from the start of the year with all players, from fullbacks to forwards, very comfortable and confident on the ball. Talking has also picked up in recent games and encouragement to their team-mates is pleasing to hear from the sideline. Individually the players have shown they can compete with all opposition teams. Goalkeeper Chris, while a little down on confidence at the moment, has shown many times that he has the ability to be a very good shot stopper. The two Aarons in the middle at the back have complimented each other quite well. Jack at left fullback has improved out of sight this year as he gains more and more confidence on the ball. Our other fullback, Jeremy, has filled in for us when required and has been very safe down that side of the park. Our midfield of Rachel, Jake and Ethan has been the driving force all year and continues to work well together up and down the park. Wide men Luke and Josh have proved very capable of getting in behind opposition fullbacks and putting dangerous balls into the area. Both have scored this year with Josh getting on the score sheet regularly and also getting the winner against Tuggerah. Brandon hasn’t cracked it for a goal yet but it’s just a matter of time. Jack H, who joined us late, has been getting more game time each week and is settling in well to our style of play.

U/15 D 7th June...no game for us this week
14th June....After missing 3 training sessions due to the downpour and no game last weekend i was wondering if we had lost too much fitness...the answer to that...no! We came up against Wyoming at our home ground (which should have been played on their home ground so, in fact, we were the away team!!). The first half was a bit dusty with our opposition scoring as soon as the whistle blew. They scored again before half time leaving us with 2 goals to chase in the second half. We certainly came out ready to play and Jess wasted no time in finding the back of the net rather quickly. A penalty shot to us right in front saw Blake put one past the goalie to level the score. The wheelie bin copped a few swift kicks from the Wyoming coach after that one!. 2 all is how it ended and what a fantastic effort.. Ben had a good 2nd half in goals and Andrew, Dominic and Hayley (yes she's finally back) were also solid.
28th June vs Kanwal at Doyalson. Finally cracked it for a win just edging out the opposition by 3 - 2. Anyone would think we were watching tennis today as one minute it was down our end and before we knew it, it was back up the other end. Blake had a great game but no matter how hard he tried just couldn't find the back of the net. John was back in fine form after some time out through injury and scored 2 with Jess scoring 1. Mentions to Dominic who never seems to falter and Hayley who run herself ragged.
5th July saw us at home to Terrigal who are sitting in 2nd place. Kerry was unable to be there and she missed a fantastic match...sorry Kerry you would have been proud. Two wins in a row for us with a 5 - 1 ballgame and if the ref hadn't of blown the whistle i am sure we would have found the net plenty more times...we played that well! We led 2 nil at half time and never looked like getting beat. Thanks to some great teamwork Blake found the back of the net on both occasions. Still firing at the start of the 2nd half Dominic, Jess and John all scored after some skillful lead up play. Hayley was relentless and never gave up and it's good to see John back to his best.... Excellent teamwork guys....bring on next week and let’s hope we stay hungry.
12th July we travelled to Maidens Brush to take on Gosford. Unfortunately we were not hungry enough and went down 5-4. Having said that, we had no subs this week, due to 3 players on holidays. This team is heartbreaking to watch at times as they seem to get the 2nd half jitters and just stop being competitive. We were up 3 - 1 at half time, fell asleep for only 5 minutes, and Gosford took full advantage (as they should) and scored their 5 goals during our naptime. We were all over them till then. Jess, Ashleigh and Hayley were the best for us today. We are not too far from 4th position but if we don't play solid for the whole match, every match from now on, we can kiss the semis goodbye. 19th July at home to Wyoming Everyone looked flat today. Guess that's what happens when you miss 4 training sessions! It was a 2 all ballgame and there really isn't anything outstanding to mention. Nil all at half time and not long into the second half Wyoming scored two quick goals. the only positive was that we fought back to level at the whistle. John ,Jess and Matt all played well. We need a fierce training session this week as we take on the competition leaders Gwandalan next week....fingers crossed. 26th July at home to competition front runners Gwandalan. We went down 4 - 0 and considering that Gwandalan have been beating their opponents by at least 7 goals i would like to say it wasn't a bad effort from us but i think that our opponents were off their game today because the way we played in the first half they should have been 10 goals up. After the 1st goal was scored our heads went down and that's pretty much where they stayed. The self belief in this team is very, very low and it shouldn't be because we can play some really great soccer and no matter how much they are encouraged it doesn't seem to matter. But today they never really played as a team and that was disappointing to watch knowing how amazing we can be. A better 2nd half but unfortunately it was too late. 2nd August and we travelled down the road to take on Kanwal. Our opposition came out ready to play and took us by surprise. Not a whole lot to talk about with this one. It was an even contest but we lost 3 - 2. Best for us today was Blake, Hayley and Jess. Best for them: the referee and linesmen! 9th August and we took on Terrigal at home. This was a good match to watch and we always seem to play well against these guys who are sitting 2nd in the comp. It was 3 -1 at half time to our opposition. In the 2nd half we really picked up the pace and with some great teamwork leveled the score by the time the whistle blew. It was good to see Terrigal kept goalless for 35 minutes and even better that we fought back and wanted to win it more than them. Good job. Andrew, John and Dom were great today. 16th August and we took on the dirtiest team in the competition... I cannot understand how parents can bring up their kids to play as spitefully as one particular player in this team...and it was a young lady but i use the term very lightly. The refereeing left a lot to be desired as she was never pulled up once at any stage throughout the game. I am not too sure what was going on there! We were only beaten 1 - 0 in the end and it was a good effort from our team. It was a shame that we lost to a team who would rather play dirty than play using soccer skills...skills are good..,thugery not so. Best for us today.. Emily, Kyrra and Ashleigh. Injuries to Meg after some boots to the legs and Ashleigh copped a shove in the back...nice clean play! Thanks to Rachel, Jack and Joshua from the 14's for filling in as we were quite a few players short this week.

This year the boy’s learnt quickly what Mitchell and myself were about. You play how you train.
We have had some intense fitness sessions and credit to the boy’s hardly and complaints, they just keep going and it showed in our 1st Competition game together as a team we played really well. With the boy’s showing a good display of passing and attacking plays and played Tuggerah off the park and went on to defeat them 11-0. Our 2nd game started a bit different with a slow start by the boy’s but they regained their recent form to beat the 3rd placed Terrigal 7-1.
In our most recent game top of the table clash with Gosford the boy’s seemed to have lost their momentum in a shock loss 3-2, but they were just beaten by the better team on the day. But the boy’s will take a lot out of that game and hopefully we can turn it around next week.
Well Done Boy’s we look forward to the rest of the year. Keep up the hard work and it will pay off come the final’s time.

If effort counted for points, we’d be up near the top of our comp but unfortunately this isn’t so. Injuries and not being able to call on any other team has made an impact on the Team and results haven’t gone our way. All players are putting in a great effort and morale is still high and this is just as important as results.
Keep up the good effort.

Hey everyone. this one will be a bit rushed, but will do my best the girls are going great we just played our make up game last night in the freezing cold and drizzling rain down at pluim park and although conditions were horrible we came away with a win of 2-1 against Tuggerah which puts us clearly in front by 4 points which is a nice position to be in but the hard work is not all done yet. We have only lost one game so far and hope to keep this the only game we lose. We still have about 5 games to play and hopefully can retain that lead and come home strong and head to league champions status. This would be great for the girls and the club and it is really pleasing to see the girls getting along so well and having fun in their games. Keep up the work load and it will pay off. And hopefully in about 3 weeks we can give the go ahead to order our jackets. Thanks to Leanne for being such a great manager and being so supportive.

Our tail of woes continue, with our game against East Gosford being washed out.. Then, going to Killarney, and loosing 3 – 1. We didn’t play our best football and again failing badly in front of the goals, Tommy scoring our only goal. Then to the Entrance where an improvement in our performance but still not finishing off, good build-up play and loosing 1 nil our best were Chicken returning from injury, Shaun and Matt. We then hosted Woy Woy and finally got the ball into the back of the net thanks to a determined effort by Tommy who snatched the ball of Dean's chest after making a good run. We had many other chances to score but again couldn't finish. Thanks to Dave Mc and Scotty for subbing up from 35's there defensive work was outstanding. We then went to Kincumber where the second placed team pulled out all stops to defeat us 1 - 0 after we controlled the game for long periods only to have our hearts broken when a Kincumber shot which Karl had covered hit a divot in the penalty area and bouncing up under the crossbar. Every body gave 100% with Karl, Ray and Chicken outstanding also Harold doing a good settling job. Still 6 games left we can get good results in these games if we continue to play the way we are playing and with the same effort.

M – AA 4 6th July: team played well in the first half, very poor second half we should have done better lost 2.0 to Ourimbah
13th July: Very good performance by considering we played with eight men and only got beaten 3-0 by Kincumber who are the top team.
20th July; This was an excellent result we had our first win 4-0 over Killarney District and it was my birthday to boot (pardon the pun) reason for a double celebration, congratulations and well done lads.
We are improving all the time nice to see, keep up the good work lads

Hi my name is Ashley Sweetnam from the 12c’s and I have been coached by Dean Cobb since Under 7‘s.
I have been playing soccer for Doyalson Wyee Soccer club for 8 years now, I first played in the under 5’s in 2000.
In 2006 our first year playing for competition points we were League Champions but we didn’t make the grand final that year.
The following year we were in the Under 11b’s that was a big step up and we thought we were ready for it but didn’t make the finals, that year I was nominated for Central Coast Player of the year in my division, also Doyalson Wyee RSL JNR sports person of the year and the Doyalson Wyee RSL Presidents Award for Sports.
This year we are in the 12c’s and after 10 games we have not lost a game or had a goal scored against us yet, we are doing really well thanks to some belief in ourselves and support from our parents and friends.
I also play soccer for my school Wyee Public, this year my teacher nominated me & Rebecca Beeson from our school to try out for the zone Soccer team, we were both picked for the team and from there went and tried out for the Hunter School Girls Soccer team again we both made the team.
We played 6 games of soccer over 2 days and made the finals, played the final on the third day and then got to play in the Grand Final which we lost. They were about to pick a State team, I have now also made the NSW School Girls State Soccer team as goal keeper.
So to all you young and upcoming soccer stars remember you don’t have to always be in the winning team or be the best team to be nominated or picked for awards etc you just need to play for fun and keep trying and doing your best.
Good Luck to each and every one of you
